Bhubaneswar/ Sambalpur : A MEGA BLOOD DONATION CAMP was organized very recently, jointly by the Odisha Police Sambalpur and Hindalco at HIRAKUD in the Main Colony Community Hall in which around 270 blood samples were collected. This blood donation camp was inaugurated by Sri B. Gangadhar S.P Sambalpur in the presence of Hindalco Sambalpur Cluster Head Mr. Kailash Pandey , SDPO HirakudBurla Mr. Satyabrata Dash. Among others, the IIC Hirakud Police Station Mrs. JagyanseniNayak, FRP Head Mr SurjeetMitra, Hindalco Smelter Head Mr. Debasis Mallick, Power Plant Head Mr. Prajal Pathak , Hindalco Cluster Finance Head Mr. Srinath Mishra , Hindalco Chief Medical Officer Mr. Surbatto Chatterjee were also present in the occasion .
While encouraging the blood donors the SP of Sambalpur Mr Ganagadhar said that looking at the acute blood shortage in DHQ Hospital Sambalpur and VIMSAR Burla in present days and considering the difficultiesof Sambalpur District public, Ihad requested Hindalco to organise this Mega blood donation camp as Hindalco is having the expertise of conducting such Mega camps.Hindalco also came forward and organised such a camp in little span of time and he thanked Hindalco authorities for the same. He also requested general public to support for such noble cause in future too. In his deliberation Mr. Kailash Pandey applauded the efforts of volunteers, different organisations office bearers, club members and members of Mahila Sangha’s and also applauded whole hearted support ofHirakud public for their support for thisnoble cause and congratulated the blood donors for the contribution . This camp wasorganised under active coordinationof Mr. Krishna Padhi, Head –HR, Hindalco Hirakud.
This blood donation camp was well coordinated by all Officers & staffs ofHirakudPolice, Hindalco Health Care Centres’ employees andall employees of CSR Dept. of Hindalco.
