NTPC Bongaigaon Organizes Gram Sabha at Bagalpara Village to Mark Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

Bongaigaon: As part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, NTPC Bongaigaon organized a Gram Sabha at Bagalpara Village on 1st November 2025 with the objective of promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability among the villagers. The initiative aimed to strengthen community awareness and collective responsibility towards building a corruption-free society.

A total of 72 villagers actively participated in the programme, demonstrating their commitment to ethical conduct and good governance. The event began with the Integrity Pledge, where all participants unitedly affirmed their resolve to uphold honesty and fairness in both personal and public life.

The session featured awareness talks by the Site Vigilance Executive and members of the Village Council Development Committee (VCDC), who highlighted the importance of vigilance in daily life and the crucial role of citizens in promoting transparency. They emphasized that small acts of honesty and moral courage collectively contribute to a stronger and more just society.

An interactive discussion followed, during which villagers shared their insights and experiences on maintaining integrity within their community. Participants also reaffirmed their responsibility to remain vigilant and report unethical practices whenever observed.

The Gram Sabha served as an effective platform to spread awareness about ethical behavior, civic participation, and community-driven vigilance. The programme resonated with the central theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 – “Promoting Integrity for a Corruption-Free India”, reinforcing NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to fostering transparency and moral responsibility beyond its operational boundaries.
