Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) :As many as 114 Science and Mathematics teachers working in different High Schools in the State have joined a 10 day training programme to be held in Talent Development Centre under Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, commencing from 8th November. Sri Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister, Science and Technology conveying his best wishes, hoped that such training of teachers will enhance their capacity in managing Science and Math classes and enable them to utilize new experiments, theories in classroom teachings.
Sri Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Science and Technology Department said that such effective and meaningful training programme will empower our teachers both in performance and capacity building. Entire expenditure on this training programme will be borne by the Science and Technology Department while School and Mass Education Department has provided support as collaborator, he said.
A delegation from Talent Development Centre of Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has visited Odisha last year and interacted with the Science and Math teachers on such training programme. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has already been signed between Science and Technology Department and Indian Institute of Science in this regard.
