Bhubaneswar, 23, Aug 2025: The 6th Annual Conference of the Odisha Arthroplasty Association (OAA) was held at the Mayfair Hotel, Bhubaneswar from 23rd to 24th August 2025, drawing participation from over 200 orthopaedic surgeons from across the state and other parts of the country.
The conference featured a series of scientific sessions, live surgical demonstrations, and interactive discussions on the latest advances in joint replacement surgery. Eminent national and state-level faculty delivered keynote lectures on emerging techniques in hip and knee replacement, revision surgeries, and patient care. Hands on Cadaveric workshop was conducted on hip and knee replacement surgical techniques on 22nd August 2025 at the SCB Medical College Cuttack which was well attended.
Speaking on the occasion, OAA President Dr Nirmal Chandra Mohapatra emphasized the Association’s commitment to advancing joint replacement surgery in Odisha. Dr Debabrata Padhy who is Vice President of the Association and also the Secretary of the Indian Arthroplasty Association (IAA) highlighted providing orthopaedic professionals with global standards of knowledge and training at national and state level.
Speaking on the occasion OAA Secretary Dr Bishnu Patro reiterate the need of such programs at regular intervals to promote recent advances in the field. Among others IAA President Dr Sanjeev Jain and Organising Chairman Dr Sunil Dash were also present on the occasion.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Kishore Panda, organizing Secretary, to all delegates, speakers, and organizing members for their contribution to making the conference a success.
