Berhampur : In the busy town of Berhampur, a small step towards sustainability was taken with the installation of a 3-kW rooftop solar power system at the home of Smt. Chinmayee Panda. This achievement, made possible under the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, was supported by the dedicated team at TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL).
It all began when Smt. Chinmayee Panda visited the TPSODL Consumer Relation Centre out of curiosity about solar energy. Inspired by the promise of sustainable and affordable electricity, she decided to take the leap. “The team at TPSODL made the entire journey seamless for me,” she shared. “From helping me choose the right vendor to ensure smooth installation, their guidance and support were invaluable. Adopting solar energy has not only reduced my electricity expenses but also given me a sense of pride in contributing to a greener planet.”
The commissioning event was graced by TPSODL’s CEO, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, who highlighted the broader vision behind promoting the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana. “This scheme is a game-changer for households, enabling them to embrace renewable energy with ease and affordability,” he remarked. “Our goal at TPSODL is to empower communities to become more sustainable and self-reliant. Solar energy not only reduces dependence on conventional power sources but also offers significant savings for families. I urge everyone to take advantage of this initiative and join us in building a cleaner, greener Odisha.”
The rooftop solar plant at Smt. Panda’s home is a small but impactful step in TPSODL’s mission to drive renewable energy adoption in Southern Odisha. Through sustained efforts and community engagement, TPSODL aims to bring the benefits of solar power to more households, paving the way for a sustainable future.
As Smt. Panda’s solar panels bask in the bright Berhampur sun, they tell a story of hope and change—where energy is not just consumed but harnessed responsibly, for a better tomorrow.
