Bhubaneswar: In a landmark step towards promoting road safety, AKP.HYMX launched its flagship initiative ‘Raah Surakshit – Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye’ at Ravi Talkies Square on Independence Day. The campaign, designed to encourage responsible driving and create public awareness, witnessed enthusiastic community participation and appreciation from civic authorities.
The campaign, spearheaded by AKP.HYMX, received strong support from the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, who facilitated necessary permissions and extended encouragement for this citizen-focused drive. To strengthen execution, The Power of Humanity NGO was onboarded as a collaborative partner, ensuring smooth ground-level implementation and volunteer engagement.
As part of the launch, AKP.HYMX team members actively engaged with two-wheeler riders, distributing helmets to those without, while appreciating responsible riders by presenting them with certificates. Volunteers held placards and interacted with the public to highlight the importance of safe driving practices.
Adding a creative twist to the awareness drive, performers dressed as ‘Yamraj’ and ‘Chitragupt’ connected with commuters in an interactive manner, stressing how negligence on roads can cost lives. This unique approach resonated strongly with the community and drew attention to the urgent need for safer behaviour on the roads.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amlan Parida, CEO of AKP.HYMX, said “Building roads is our business, but building safer roads is our responsibility. Through ‘Raah Surakshit’, we want to ensure that safety becomes a daily habit, not just a rule to follow when convenient.”
Community Connect: Citizens were invited to share their experiences and concerns regarding road safety, creating an open dialogue between the public and campaign organizers.
Several renowned personalities and senior representatives from AKP.HYMX were present at the launch and interacted with the community. They distributed helmets, shared personal insights, and delivered strong messages on the urgency of following road safety rules.
The launch concluded with strong participation from the media, who interacted with AKP.HYMX leadership and local citizens to capture their perspectives on the campaign.
‘Raah Surakshit – Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye’ will continue as a city-wide movement for the next six months, with multiple activities planned across Bhubaneswar. The initiative aims to create long-term behavioural change and reduce traffic violations in the city.
