AM/NS India observes National Energy Conservation Day in Paradeep

Paradeep, December 29, 2025: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) observed National Energy Conservation Day at its Pellet Plant Complexwith the inauguration of a modern wheel washing station and a plantation drive within the plant premises. The occasion was highlighted by engaging awareness sessions that inspired employees to use energy wisely and adopt sustainable practices for preserving the environment.

At ParadeepPellet Plant, the programme was graced by Shri Puskar Chandra Behera, Regional Officer, State Pollution Control Board(SPCB), Paradeep as the Chief Guest, along withofficialsof AM/NS India including Shri USR Raju, Head-Odisha Operations, AM/NS India, Shri C.H. Hariprasad, Plant Head, Paradeep Pellet Plant,SPL, AM/NS Ports, Shri Rajarshi Sinha, Head–Captive Power Plant, Paradeep,Shri Debadatta Das, Manager–Environment, Paradeep Pellet Plant. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 200 employees and associates.

Shri Puskar Chandra Behera said,“Conserving energy is a vital responsibility to protect the interests of the future generations.” He further underlined the need to adopt renewable sources of energy to ensure a cleaner and greener environment.

Shri USR Rajusaid“Energy conservation is not just a necessity,it is a critical operational priority as we transition towards a greener and cleaner future. Through such events, we urge every employee and associate to collaborate with discipline and commitment to optimize energy efficiency across all processes, minimize emissions, and integrate renewable energy solutions into the plant operations.”

Through these initiatives, AM/NS India strengthens its commitment to energy conservation by driving operational efficiency, reducing specific energy consumption, and integrating renewable energy to reduce carbon footprint.
