AM/NS India organises Industrial Training visit and knowledge seminars for ITI students in Koida

Koida, January 23, 2026: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative Project ‘Daksh’, successfully concluded a two-day,Industrial Training visit in Ghorabhurani – Sagasahi mine of AM/NS India followed by knowledge sharing seminars and certificate distribution ceremony at Government ITI in Koida, Sundargarhduring January 20-22, 2026. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world mining practices, equipping students with practical technical expertise while fostering a strong culture of safety.

On the first day of the visit, 20 ITI students were trained at the Sagasahi mine, gaining hands-on exposure to stone processing, machinery, operations, and safety. On the next day, an additional 21 students from the Mines Machineries Trade visited the mine to learn about mining machinery, iron ore crushing, safety practices and the Slurry Beneficiation Project.

On the third and last day, seminar and training sessions were organised for 165 ITI students which featured discussions by officers from AM/NS India on health and safety protocols, mining machinery operations, and best industrial practices. The sessions were conducted by ShriJagadeesh Bhonagiri, Head – Health, Safety and Training, Sagasahi Mine, AM/NS India, and Shri Danveer Prasad, Mechanical Engineer,Sagasahi Mine, AM/NS India. Both the trainers emphasized the critical importance of operational safety in the mining sector.

As part of the engagement, students showcased safety posters and slogans, which reaffirmed the role of awareness-driven initiatives in shaping responsible and safety-conscious industry professionals.
