Kashipur : An awareness program related to establishment of industry was held at the Tikiri Panchayat Office of Kashipur Block. The program organized by Rayagada District Industrial Center was presided over by Industry Officer Chittaranjan Mallick. The program was attended by Block Chairman Kanta Majhi, Tikiri Sarpanch Jagbandhu Majhi, Naib Sarpanch sita naik, MLA representative, MP representative Sandu Charan Majhi, and officials of the industrial organization as the chief guests. Since a large industry like Utkal Alumina has been established in the local area, there is a need to establish a large number of micro, small and medium industries based on it. Therefore, the government has a PMEGP, loan assistance and necessary training system for unemployed youth who have passed the eighth standard to establish various industries and become self-reliant. It was informed that there are subsidies and other facilities for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, women, and minority communities. Interested persons were advised to apply through the PMEGPE portal with the required certificates. Similarly, they were asked to contact the District Industrial Center Officer to know about setting up an enterprise and getting loan assistance. Block Coordinator Preeti Duriya and other officials said that assistance will be provided by the prestigious Utkal Alumina Enterprises Association in the local area. Muna Behera, Indrajit Sahu along with youth, women, SHG members were prominently present in the program. Program Officer Kalindi Jena conducted the program.
