Bank has been honoured under ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar’ for the second consecutive time
Pune: Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector bank, was awarded with the ‘Second Prize’ under the ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar’ Scheme of the Government of India for the year 2022-23 in the Nationalized Banks category.
Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Debadatta Chand received the award during the Hindi Diwas Celebration-2023 and third All India Official Language Conference held in Pune (Maharashtra) from 14-15 September 2023. This award was presented to the bank by the Chief Guest Honourable Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra in the presence of Vice Chairman, Parliamentary Committee on Official Language Shri Bhartrihari Mahtab, Deputy Chairperson, Rajya Sabha, Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh & Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ms. Anshuli Arya.
Besides, Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Bank) Vadodara and Varanasi working under the convenorship of the Bank received First and Second prizes in linguistic region B and A respectively.
It is noteworthy that the bank’s mobile banking application bob World is available in 12 Indian languages including Hindi. The Bank’s WhatsApp Banking service is available in English as well as Hindi and Gujarati languages. For the convenience of the customers, transaction SMS facility has been made available in 12 Indian languages. The option of Hindi and other Indian languages has been made available in other delivery channels of the bank like ATM, Self Service Passbook, Bob World Internet Banking, Chatbot Service, Contact Centre, Digital Lending Journey etc also.
