Demanded to expedite the pending and delayed NH work of Odisha and about the proposed new NHs
New Delhi (Kalinga Voice): BJD MPs submitted a memorandum today regarding a delay in National Highway projects in Odisha with General V. K. Singh (Retd.) Union Minister of State of Road Transport and Highways and urged Union Minister of State to expedite the pending and delayed National Highway work of Odisha.
In the memorandum BJD team informed the Union Minister that various projects of the National Highways are either pending or delayed due to extremely slow pace of work, Some of the major National Highways that need the immediate attention of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways regarding the inordinate delay of NHs such as Cuttack-Sambalpur National Highway, Rajamunda-Barkote National Highway, Lack of repair and maintenance of National’Highways of Odisha, delay in Coastal Highway
The delegation also drew the attention of the Union Minister about the declaration of new National.Highways of the road stretch from Palasa – Paralakhemuitdi – Ramanguda – Bissammcuttak Muniguda-Bhabanipatna – Khariar – Bangomunda-Patanagarh- Padmapur of Odisha/ Chhattisgarah Border in the State of Odisha .
The BJD delegation included Rajyasabha Member Dr Sasmit Patra, Dr Amar Pattanaik and Smt Sulata Deo .
