BPNSI & TATA STEEL FERRO ALLOYS DIVISION HOLD SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Bhubaneswar:The Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, under the Ministry of Steel, GOI, and Tata Steel(Ferro Alloys Division) held a one day skill development program at the SCTE&VT campus today. The program was inaugurated by Shri B.S.Poonia, IAS, Managing Director, IDCO.In his inaugural address, Shri Poonia emphasized the importance of such skill development programs for the growing Indian economy and appreciated the role of BPNSI in carrying out such programs regularly. Shri Pritam Purkayastha, Director, BPNSI, while welcoming the gathering, affirmed the commitment of the Institute to developing excellence in professional work in the steel industry.

The one-day workshop had participants from several units of Tata Steel Ferro Alloys Division and was facilitated by experienced trainers, Er. Amitesh Sinha, a steel sector professional with varied experience, Dr. Simanta Mohanty, management professional, and Mr.A.K.Purohit, Director, BIS, Bhubaneswar

The program was conducted by Prof. Satyapriya Satapathy of BPNSI.
