- Participated in Nua-O Fest & interacted with students from all colleges of Balangir District.
- Reviewed the progress of 650 Bedded Teaching Hospital at Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir at a cost of 305 Crs.
- Reviewed the progress of Balangir By Pass Road at a cost of 176 Crs and Tusura Airstrip at a cost of 65 Crs.
- Reviewed other major projects of both the districts including Mega PWS projects, irrigation projects, Roads & Bridges, health infrastructure projects, major temple development projects etc.
- Based on the petitions received by the people during the last visit, two ISS projects sanctioned – ISS Silatkani on Songarh river with a cost of 49 Crs and ISS Kutasingha on Ong River with a cost of 247 Crs.
- Since the last visit of Sh Pandian in August last year to Balangir, based on petitions and feedback, Rs 795 Crores worth projects have been taken up in the district.
- Interacted with the public at Kantabanji Vocational College Playground & R.N. Singhdeo stadium field, Saintala and received the grievances on various issues and assured early resolution.
Bhubaneswar: As per the direction of Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik, Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Sri. V.K. Pandian visited Balangir District to review the progress of various developmental works in the district and interact with students and general public.
He participated in the Nua-O Program being organised at Gandhi Stadium, Balangir and interacted with students of all colleges of Balangir. He discussed with the students on Nua-O program providing a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent and to help achieve overall personality development in addition to their academic achievements. Citing examples of prominent persons from the district Sh Pandian emphasized the students to work hard with self-confidence to achieve success in life.
Sh Pandian reviewed the progress of 650 Bedded Teaching Hospital at Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir at a cost of 305 Crs. The work is in finishing stage. He instructed concerned officials to complete all remaining works at the earliest adhering to the principles of 5T.
Later, he also reviewed other major projects in the district – ISS projects at Kukedmal, Patharla, Kursud, Silatkani, Kutasingha at a total cost of 1217 Crs; Mega Piped runnin drinking water Supply projects to different blocks of the district at a cost of 1312 Crs; Balangir By Pass Road at a cost of 176 Crs; Patnagarh By pass road at a cost of 140 Crs; development of Tusura Airstrip at a cost 65 Crs; major roads and bridges; development of Harishankar Temple at a cost of 26 Crs; development of other major temples of the district etc.
Some of the major projects have been taken up after the previous visit of Sh Pandian to Balangir District in August 2023, when he attended the grievance meetings and took feedback from the public.
