Chief Secretary visited Ganjam district and reviewed field level progress of developmental projects
Set timelines for completion of the projects
Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : Chief Secretary Sri Suresh Chandra Mahapatra visited Ganjam district; and, reviewed the field level progress of Ghatakeswar multipurpose project and Taratarini temple development project.
Review showed that construction of multipurpose project project was on its full swing. The project is being build accross the river Ghadaka on Rusikulya basin in Kukudahandi block of Ganjam district. The project would supply 8.25 MLD water to 75000 population of Berhampur areas, Kukudahandi and Rangeilunda block. Besides it would irrigate 600 hect of land in Kukudahandi Tahasil. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 172.06 cr. Chief Secretary Sri Mahapatra directed to expedite the construction and complete the project in all respects before July , 2022.
Sri Mahapatra also saw the progress of rennovation and beautification project of Taratarini temple.
The field level issues were resolved and the project was put on fast track. The project envisages strengthening of the temple structure, beautification of the inside and outside of the temple; and, creation of amenities for tourists and visitors. Sri Mahapatra fixed timelines for completion of different components of the project.
Later on Sri Mahapatra reviewed the field level progress of the Conservation and Tourism development project at Jaugada; development project of Kaleswar garden; functioning of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya at Shasana Ambagaon; implementation of High school transformation program at Hinjilicut and Durabandha High School. Chief secretary also saw the progress of the development of sports arena at Berhampur and development project at Ramlingeswar Tank.
In the evening, Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of pipe drinking water supply to households, irrigation, in- stream barrage and ring road project of Berhampur town in a district level meeting.
Sri Kulange V Amruta, Collector Ganjam along with all district level officers placed updated data in rhe review meeting.
