Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6: The 5th edition of Colour Atlas of Pediatric Dermatology, authored by Dr. Sandipan Dhar and Dr. Maitreyee Panda, was released at the national conference and Silver Jubilee celebration of the Indian Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ISPD) held at Chennai recently.
Dr. Dhar is the Chief Advisor and past President of ISPD while Dr. Panda is the honorary Secretary General of the organization. Dr. Panda is presently working as Professor in the department of Dermatology at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here.
The book, which contains more than 10,000 images and synopsis of diseases, will serve as a guide for pediatricians and practicing dermatologists, Dr. Panda said.
The conference, held from August 2 to 4, focused on academics with extensive workshops on Atopic Dermatitis and Genodermatoses, video demonstrations and scientific lectures relating to pediatric dermatology. Around 500 delegates from different parts of the country, including dermatologists and pediatricians, attended the conference.
