Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): CORONA today crossed 18,000 marks in Odisha taking 6 more lives. 673 new positives cases were reported today. 446 of them are identified from the quarantine center, while 227 are identified from the local area. As a result, the number of corona positives in the state reached 18,110 The number of active cases stands at 5533, while 12452 persons have been recovered within the last 24 hours as reported by I & PR Department, Odisha @IPR_Odisha. The Health Department has reported the death of 6 persons due to CORONA. five of the deceased are from Ganjam district and one from the Gajapati district.
The highest number of 239 positives are identified from the hotspot Ganjam followed by Angul 4, Balasore 13, Bargarh 22, Bhadrak 58, Cuttack 32, Dhenkanal 10, Gajapati 15, Jagatsinghpur 36, Jajpur 28, Jharsuguda 14, Kandhamal 44, Kendrapada 4, Khurda 58, Keonjhar 24, Koraput 41, Malkangiri 4, Mayurbhanj 1, Nayagarh 4, Puri 4, Sambalpur 3, Sonepur 4 and from Sundargarh 11, as reported by I & PR Department, Odisha @IPR_Odisha.
