.Bhubaneswar: In continuation to the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Rashtriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav (RBSM) / National Intellectual Property Festival (NIPF), CSIR-IMMT has conceptualized and Flagged Off “CSIR- IP Rath for Unleashing IP knowledge to greater masses and IP Yatra will be performed for two weeks – sensitizing school/college students, researchers/faculty, startups/entrepreneurs, farmers/self help groups, artisans, and others at large on various aspects of IPRs (including GI, Indian Knowledge systems and plant varieties) using videos, posters and short presentations. This Rath was coordinate by the Senior Scientist of CSIR-IMMT Dr. T Pavan Kumar.

This two week CSIR-IP Rath Yatra, will be covering schools, colleges, institutions, universities, MSME, local villages and industrial units within the proximity of about 100 KM from Bhubaneswar.
CSIR -Institute Of Minerals & Materials Technology (IMMT) in cooperation with its teams from Jigyasa (for student reach), CRTDH (for MSME/Industry reach), InTEC (for Incubation -Startup/entrepreneur reach), Skill Development (for other/ general reach), ESD – Workshop (for IP Rath) organizing this programme.
An online or hybrid mode, two/three-day workshop will be organized during the end of July with the objective of reaching out to the participations across the nation.
Initiating this program A IP mobile van would be developed with the title “CSIR- IP Rath: Unleashing IP knowledge to greater masses” and IP Yatra will be performed for two weeks starting from July 15, 2023 – sensitizing school/college students, researchers/faculty, startups/entrepreneurs, farmers/self-help groups, artisans, and others at large on various aspects of IPRs (including GI, Indian Knowledge systems and plant varieties) using videos, posters, and short presentations. This CSIR-IP Rath Yatra will be covering schools, colleges, institutions, universities, MSME, local villages, and industrial units within the proximity of about 100 KM from Bhubaneswar.
As a part of this program, Two offline workshops (one on GI, Traditional Knowledge/Plant Varieties, and another on general IPRs focusing Patents) would be conducted at the CSIR-IMMT campus by inviting large participation from various sectors/stakeholders – date/timing to be finalized.
CSIR-IMMT would be associating with universities like Utkal, Ramadevi, Berhampur, technology university etc and institutes like Startup Odisha, World Skill Center, DBT-ILS, ICT-IOC, IISER, NIT, IIIT, XIMB, NIST, IGIT and other agencies like KVS, NVS, DAV, Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya to organize IP awareness programs at their campuses. About 20 programs are already conducted and others to follow in other places.
