Paralakhemundi(Balakrishna Panigrahi) : A four-point demand has been submitted by Appanna Parichha Smritisansad, a well-known socio-literary organization of Parakhemundi to EO and chairperson Paralakhemundi, for the immediate development of 124 years old railway station which is coming under Municipality Ward No. 03. The major demands are well connected PHD water facilities for passengers and uninterrupted light services for passengers which are the basic amenities. Apart from this, the Organization Secretary Mr. Murlidhar Parichha with president sri Bichitranand Bebarta has raised two more issues that is, installation of an ATM and a welcome gate near the Century Old Railway Station of Odisha. immediately after receiving the letter
The Chairman municipality Smt Nirmala Sethi, EO Shri Jubilee Behera, AEE PHD Shri Swagat Nayak along with Ward member team has jointly visited Railway Station area and discussed with Rajeev Kumar the Station Master and PWI Staff Shri Chandrashekhar for public water service tank land identification. and also supervised the ongoing High Mast Light Foundation work. EO Paralakhemundi assured that the station would get drinking water facility soon after getting the no-objection certificate from the railway department. Along with this, he also gave a positive assurance of setting up ATM and making welcome gates in the municipality area.
