Six states including odisha will get ₹4381.88 crore
It will help in rebuilding infrastructure and restoring livelihood : Dharmendra
New Delhi(Kalinga Voice) : Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Sri Dharmendra Pradhan thanked union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for approving ₹4381.88 crore of additional central assistance to Odisha, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Karnataka and Maharashtra to further help restore livelihoods and infrastructure affected by cyclones/floods/landslides during the year.
Thanking HM Sri Shah, PNG Minister Sri Pradhan said “this assistance will help the states including Odisha in further restoration of their livelihood and rebuilding infrastructure”.
Mr Pradhan further said ” ₹500 crore to Odisha and ₹1000 crore to West Bengal was released as advance in May 2020 immediately after PM Narendra Modi ji had visited Odisha and West Bengal in the aftermath of #CycloneAmphan. Additional ₹128.23 crore approved for Odisha yesterday will help in building resilience against natural disasters & dealing with post-cyclone crisis. Grateful to PM Narendra Modi ji’s govt. for standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Odisha, especially in tough times.”
