‘Mo College Abhijan’ is a blessing in disguise – Dr. Panda
Bhubaneswar: ‘I have been constantly donating to various educational institutions towards different peripheral developments since long. Being a Retd. Professor, i believe it is my duty to donate to institutions that shapes the future of numerous students’ were the words of Dr.Ramakrushna Panda who recently donated Rs.10lakhs to Govt. Women’s College, Sambalpur.
Dr. Ramakrushna Panda, a retired reader of Botany is in a mission to contribute financial helps to different colleges across state for its structural development to create an education worthy environment. Recently, Dr. Panda has donated Rs.10lakhs to Govt.Women’s College for its infrastructural development. He previously worked as a reader of Botany in the same college which made him believe the need of contributions. ‘’After learning about ‘Mo College’ and the way it helps out students by doubling the donated amount, I could not resist but to contribute my part as well. It indeed is a blessing in disguise for people like us who wants to do something for our alma-mater ’’ says Dr.Panda. Previously he donated hefty amounts to different colleges and corpus fund dedicated towards impoverished students as well. Dr.Ramakrushna Panda also mentions about one of the major inspiration that he has received in his lifetime is from his elder sister Dr. Narayani Panda who is a renowned gynaecologist and obstetrician of state who exhibit outstanding generosity in past by donating half of crores to colleges/university towards progression of quality education among students. ‘’My sister has always treated us like her child and the moral value she has instated among us is very high’’says Dr.Panda. Principal of Govt.Women’s College Smt.Rajashree Baral, Professor Samita Acharya, Prof.Pabitra Mohan Behera along with ‘Mo College’ Coordinator Prof.Jogesh Chandra Bhoi were present at the residence of Dr.Ramakrishna Panda while handover of the cheques.
