A widowed mother took care of her four daughters and brought them up single-handedly after she lost her husband eight years back due to AIDS. Unfortunately, a few days back when she was coming to Bhubaneswar to work as a daily wage laborer, she died in an accident, leaving the four daughters to face such a tragedy alone. The lockdown imposed because of the pandemic had made their lives miserable.
As per the instruction of Dr. Samanta, KISS Foundation decided to provide full support to her and her sisters. They will be paid Rs 10,000 per month for a few years by KISS. The personal representative of KISS reached out to them and delivered Rs 20,000 in cash, along with some rice and other groceries. In addition, Dr. Samanta is also trying to provide assistance by contacting the local MLA and the district administration so that the girls would get help in living. Dr. Samanta has also assured their free education in one of the branches of KISS in the near future.
