New Delhi (Kalinga Voice): Minister of Railways, Commerce & Industry; Consumer Affairs and Food& Public Distribution, Government of India ShriPiyush Goyal administered pledge to the Railway employees virtually on theoccasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, from New Delhi, today.
GeneralManager of East Coast Railway Shri Vidya Bhushan, Addl. General Manager SudhirKumar and all Principal Heads of Departments of ECoR, Senior Officials werepresent at ECoR headquarters at Rail Sadan, Chandrasekharpur and took oath on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed witha view to fostering and reinforcing the spirit of communal harmony, NationalIntegration and feeling proud in our composite culture-Unity in diversity.
TheRailway Employees had taken pledge to preserve the unity, integrity andsecurity of the nation and also to strive hard to spread the message amongfellow countrymen. Staff have also taken pledge in the spirit of unification ofthe country which was made possible by the vision and actions of SardarVallabhbhai Patel and to contribute selflessness for the internal security ofthe country.
Otherofficers and staff of East Coast Railway/HQ attended the ceremony virtually attheir work place. This pledge taking ceremony was also observed in all theDivisional Headquarters of East Coast Railway with respective DivisionalRailway Manager administering the pledge. As RashtriyaEkta Diwas falls on 31st October, the staff were taken pledge inadvance due to holidays at different parts of the country.
