Jharsuguda: M/s Epsilon Carbon Ashoka Pvt. Ltd. strongly refutes recent media reports alleging illegal acquisition of forest, grazing, or SC/ST land in Sripura, Jharsuguda Block. These claims, based on a letter to the District Collector by the Sripura Gram Panchayat, are factually incorrect, misleading, and without merit.
All land for the project has been acquired legally, following due process and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The transactions are supported by valid government allotment orders, lease deeds and statutory approvals, all of which are available for verification by the competent authorities.
The company is using a well-established ‘public access pathway’ for its plant site which is also used by general public. The company has also applied for small land towards forest diversion only for access to build road in the future, whereas the whole factory is being built on non-forest land.
Epsilon Carbon Ashoka will manufacture 8,75,000 MT/annum of carbon products making it one of the largest integrated carbon complex in India creating a number of direct and indirect jobs and making India Atmanirbhar in many products that are fully imported as of now.

The company has also built a kitchen shed for mid-day meals and installed a solar power system with battery backup at Bapuji Government High School, developed a Village Park with open gym facilities, provided 75 streetlights under renewable energy initiatives, and donated a 24×7 ambulance to the Sripura Panchayat serving nearby villages. The company also organised a paediatric health camp at the Sripura Village Community Centre, providing specialized dermatology and orthopaedic care to over 60 children from three villages.
