Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Finance Minister Sri Niranjan Pujari today held virtual discussion with a cross-section of experts, civil society representatives, representatives of the trade & industries, labour representatives, producer’s organization etc. like the previous years so as to make the Budget making process broad based and participative.
It was held in two sessions from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. In the first session former Finance Ministers and Finance Secretaries, senior Officers of RBI and NABARD, and economists participated and put forth their views ranging from resource mobilization to improving quality of expenditure.
Similarly, in the second session sectoral specialists, trade and industry representatives, agriculture experts, labour union representatives, columnist and NGO representatives put forth their sector-specific suggestions.
The suggestions received during the consultation process have already been noted down by the Officers of Finance Department and Scholars of Centre of Excellence in Fiscal Policy & Taxation (CEFT). All the suggestions would be examined and sent to respective Departments for consideration while formulating the full-fledged Annual Budget, 2022-23.
