- CM PAID RICH TRIBUTE TO NETAJI, THE GREAT PATRIOT
- YEAR LONG 125th ANNIVERSARY OF NETAJI TO BE OBSERVED IN THE STATE
Cuttack( Kalinga Voice) : On the eve of the 125th birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the great fighter of the Indian freedom struggle, Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik visited Netaji’s birthplace in Cuttack Oriya Bazaar, Janakinath Bhavan. and paid homage to the great leader on behalf of the people of the state.
As part of Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik today laid the foundation stone of the Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal at Khannagar. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister paid rich tribute to the great patriot, CM said ” Netaji was born & brought up in Cuttack. He learnt his lessons of selfless service & struggle on this soil. Odisha will celebrate his 125th anniversary with much fanfare throughout the year” CM announced.
The state of art Netaji Bus Terminal will help decongest the heritage city & will emerge as a model for others. Built on 11,000 square meter area, the bus terminal will have 180 bus bays & parking space for 275 cars. With all the necessary facilities for the passengers & a sophisticated design, the terminal will also add to the elegance of the Silver City.
