Hindalco’s multi-specialty health camp draws over 350 visitors

BHUBANESWAR(Kalinga Voice) : As many as 366 people received free medical treatment and medicines at the multi-specialty health camp organised by the Hirakud Unit of Hidalco at Larpank Govt Upper Primary School today.

The multi-specialty camp was inaugurated by Kailash Natha Pandey, Hindalco Sambalpur Cluster Head in presence of HR Head Krishna Padhi, Plant Head Debasis Mallik, Power Plant Head Pranjal Pathak, FRP Head Surjeet Mitra, Finance Cluster Head Sreenatha Mishra and other senior executives.

Medicine Specialists Dr. Netranand Dora and Dr. Manoj Kumar Nanda, O&G Specialist Dr. Padmalaya Mishra, Paediatrics Specialists Dr. Chandan Marandi, Skin Specialist Dr. Asish Kumar Nayak, Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. Sunil Kumar Kar, ENT Specialists Dr. Sujit Nayak and Oncologist Dr. Bharat Chandra Mishra (Oncologist) examined the patients and offered medical advice and treatment. Free medicines were also provided to the patients.

Speaking on the occasion, Pandey said that Hindalco always wanted to work for the local community. The Company would continue such welfare measures in the coming days too.

Addressing the gathering, Padhi explained how Hindalco is involved in the promotion of education, health, social, and sustainable development of the region through various programmes. “The Covid pandemic pushed us to concentrate on healthcare; it is now time for us to focus on the development of our community, and we are taking steps in that direction. And the CSR activities will be expanded with the support of the local community,” he said.

The multi-specialty health camp camp was well coordinated by Dr Subrat Chatterjee and all doctors of Hindalco Hospital with support from the staffs of Hindalco Medical and employees of the CSR Department of Hindalco, Hirakud.
