Bhubaneswar: Over 37606 Booth Level Observers will conduct door to door survey for a month long duration from 21st July, 2023 to 21st August 2023 all over Odisha covering in all 30 districts and 147 Assembly constituencies. The main purpose of the survey is to enlist eligible voters and remove errors from the Electoral Rolls in ahead of General Election in next year, said Chief Electoral Officer-cum-ACS NIkunja Bihari Dhal.
Booth Level Officers will verify all entries in voter list and sought their cooperation in creating mass awareness among the citizens about the need to provide correct information to visiting Booth Level Officers regarding un-enrolled eligible citizens, prospective voters (who will be 18 years old on or before 01/10/2024) as well as dead and permanently shifted electors to make Electoral Rolls pure, healthy and inclusive in all respects.
CEO, Odisha appealed to all the citizens of Odisha participated in the survey by cooperating the BLOs and in making the democratic process stronger.
