ILCAD 2021: FOLLOW SAFETY RULES WHILE CROSSING RAILWAY LEVEL CROSSING GATE

Bhubaneswar: On the Occasion of International level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD) 2021, General Manager, East Coast Railway Sri Vidya Bhusan has appealed road users to ensure all safety while crossing the Railway Level Crossing Gates. In his message Shri Vidya Bhushan said that Indian Railways is participating in this Global Campaign to sensitize the road users for inculcation of safe behavior at level crossing gates. ILCAD focuses on public awareness about safety rules at Level Crossing Gates so as to ensure safety of human life.

The International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD) is a worldwide initiative to improve awareness of level crossing safety. The theme of ILCAD 2021 is “distraction” with the motto, “Distraction kills!” It is requested to road users to be careful while crossing the Manned Level Crossing Gates. Stop your vehicle when the gate is closed. Do not cross the gate forcefully. Wait for the train to pass and gate to be opened. Then cross the railway line. Violation of any of the above is punishable offence under section 160 of Indian Railways.
