Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, in a high-level meeting today, reviewed COVID Management in the State. He emphasized on the facilities given to the COVID patients and their safety. He also directed to strengthen monitoring in the focus districts such as Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Sundargarh and Khurda.
Chief Minister has ordered to arrange more ventilators, ambulance and beds in addition to deputation of adequate Human Resources in the focus districts. As of now, around 7000 samples are being tested daily and the number of testing shall increase to 9000 in coming week. More Private Health Institutions will be allowed for Covid testing. Expeditious steps are being taken to add more beds including 200 number of ICU beds in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Ganjam within 7 days. Sero Surveillance testing in Puri Town and Community Sero Surveillance in Bhubaneswar have been completed. Besides, High Risk Sero Surveillance is being carried on.
Plasma Therapy will be started from Wednesday in SUM Hospital, KIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar and Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack. SCB medical College and Hospital, Cuttack will function as the Nodal Centre for Plasma Therapy.

More than 5 Lakh Covid Warriors including Sarpanchs, ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers at Gram Kalyan Samiti level have been given training on Covid management. Similarly, Doctors and paramedics working in Non-Covid Health Institutions have been given safety training.
State Government has decided to allow persons with mild symptoms for treatment in their home. In addition to this, Corporate establishments will be allowed to set up Covid Care Centres. Chief Minister directed to monitor the management of these centres.
