Bhubaneswar– Interaction meeting on “Theme Meeting for Rare Earth (TMRE- 2022) held today in CSIR-IMMT Auditorium Hall, Bhubaneswar. Deloitte was the knowledge partner of the conclave.
The delegates present were D Singh, CMD-IREL, Dr S. Basu, Director, CSIR-IMMT and the Chief Guest Dr V K Saraswat, Hon’ble Member, NITI Aayog for the inaugural session.
Addressing the audience Dr S. Basu, Director, CSIR-IMMT commented on how they are working in the areas of rare earth and many ferrous and non-ferrous minerals, mineral processing and metalogy and fictionalisation and development of the materials and alloys, associated environmental areas which is very important when mining and metalogic activities are done.
Post inauguration a series of sessions and panel discussions were held discussed about various topics related to industry like Rare Earth, technologies developed through IREL Technology Development Council, Nd Metal Making, R&D Activities related to REE at IMMT, etc.
Dr V K Saraswat, Hon’ble Member, NITI Aayog expressed his happiness with IMMT for providing such a platform for the industry stakeholders. He further added that IREL has been a pioneer in the rare earth. He suggested IMMT and IREL to promote the value-added products in large scale.
The sessions were summarised by Deloitte, Knowledge Partner and ended with paying respect to the National Anthem.
An MoU was signed between IREL and IMMT for joint R&D collaborations. All the members paid visit to the exhibition stalls after the session.
