Bhubaneswar/ Kalinga Voice: International Yoga Day was observed by a large number of NTPC employees and their family members of its Eastern Region Office in Bhubaneswar on June 21 , 2021. Keeping in view the Covid 19 protocols the yoga classes were organized online in the wee hours through a virtual platform. The Yoga instructor Shri Gauri Shankar Nayak gave an impactful demonstration of different yogic postures and asanas. Shri Suni Kumar Satya , Regional Executive Director ( Eastern Region II) , Shri Milan Kumar GM(HR), Shri G.D.Joshi GM(DDUGJY) were among senior executives and a large number of NTPC employees and their family members who enthusiastically took part in the yoga session.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Satya said that practicing yoga is for physical and mental well-being and becomes a source of inner strength for people and a medium to transform negativity to creativity amid the corona virus pandemic. This year, the theme of the International Day of Yoga is ‘Yoga For Wellness’, and the focus will be on practicing yoga for physical and mental well-being.
A five day Yoga training Workshop is also being conducted for the NTPC employees of Bhubaneswar.
