Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) :To further the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahostav’ and in collaboration with the JawaharUdyan management, Hindalco, Hirakud, flagged off a Swachhata programme (cleanliness drive). Led by Mr Kailash Pandey, Head, Hindalco Hirakud Cluster, the volunteering by Hindalco employees and locals for a clean green JawaharUdyan was indeed encouraging. Plastic, polythene and other waste in the locality was picked up, and the garden wore a spruced nice look. The optics were amazing. Mr. Pandey, urged the participants to follow the dictum “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” and root for this national move.
Nehru Yuva Kendra’s Mr.MarianusBilung, the Guest of Honour was all praise for Hindalco’s commitment to keep the JawaharUdyan, a high spot for tourists, an attractive destination for all visitors at this locale. The Nehru Yuba Kendra is an autonomous body of the Government.
Among Hindalco’s key executives who graced the programme included Mr. Krishna Padhi (Unit HR Head), Mr. Krishna Pandey (GM liaisoning), Mr.Sukant Mohapatra and Mr. Saroj Acharya from the CSR team. The Nehru Yuba Kendra’s Mr.Nayan Sahu, Mr.MaichelKullu,Mrs. NaliniSuniaand Mr. Ashoka Nayak (Assistant Executive Engineer, Hirakud Dam)made their presence felt.
