Cuttack: Jayanti of Martyr Legendary Shri. Bhagabati Charan Panigrahi was mark by volunteers and members of Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT)
Speaking on the occasion SNSMT Chairman Shri. Suparno Satpathy said “On his birth anniversary, humble homage to the great soul. It is a honor to be marking this day sitting at the very same spot which used to be Bhagabati Babu’s head quarter in 1932. Bhagabati Babu was tortured and murdered by British India Police in 1943 but sadly his supreme sacrifice has not been recognised as much as it should have been. Besides being a close associate of Netaji and the founding secretary of CPI in Orissa, Bhagabati Babu was a par excellence literary. His progressive writings are a moral compass”.
The meeting was attended by a few who’s who. On the occasion Bijay Padihari , Bhikari Mohanty, Balakrushna Behera, Kedar Prusty and Sanjay Parya spoke.
