Kuwait(Kalinga Voice) : The Kuwait Odia Association met the Union minister PNG and Steel Sri Dharmendra Pradhan, who is on a two days tour to Kuwait, at the Sheraton Hotel in the Kuwait city .
The delegation was led by Girija Shankar Padhi, who is a senior Petro Physicist at Kuwait Oil Company and the president of the Kuwait Odia Association.
Shri Pradhan invited the Odia businessmen and entreupreneurs living in Kuwait to come and invest in Odisha by setting up plastic manufacturing companies in Paradeep , and also invited them to invest in local petrochemical companies and assured all necessary support from the Government of India.
They discussed various issues pertaining to the Odias living in Kuwait, like their welfare and COVID situation. They also discussed about a direct commercial flight from Kuwait to Bhubaneshwar.
The Honourable Minister also inquired about the average salaries of the Odia labourers working in Kuwait and their treatment by the local employers. The delegation was accompanied by other senior members of the community like Girijanandan Panda ,
