operation intensified in the area by security forces
Kandhamal/ Bhubaneswar (Kalinga voice) : Based on reliable input an operation was launched under Gochapada PS of Kandhamal district on 9/7/2021. During the search of the core area Maoists opened indiscriminate fire on the security forces this morning. Two commandos of SOG sustained bullet injuries. Both of them with the help of CRPF were rescued and brought to the road head from the operational area.
DGP Abhay along with Director intelligence ,IG Operation and DIG SIW. was on a tour to Malkangiri and Koraput districts to review anti-LWE work. Afrer hearing about the incident at Sunabeda, he canceled his program and rushed to Padelpada in Boudh. The injured has been airlifted to Bhubaneswar. Doctor has accompanied. Conditions of both the commandoes are stable. The operation has been intensified in the area by the security forces.
