Jharsuguda, 19 January 2026: The new Command Post was operationalised from 19 January 2026 at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda. Following its arrival, necessary training was imparted to Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel from the manufacturer. Mobile Command Post is a specialised vehicle equipped with Advanced data and voice communication systems and Telescopic camera for live incident monitoring to serve as a central command and co-ordination hub during emergencies, critical incidents and large-scale events. The Mobile Command Post will play a crucial role during emergencies and special security situations by serving as a central hub for communication, coordination, and real-time decision-making. The presence of command post at airport will support for providing advance support as well as real time response during any adverse situations. The commissioning of this facility reflects VSS Airport’s continued commitment to safety, preparedness, and passenger security.
