Bhubaneswar, 24 February 2026: Michael Kremer, Nobel Laureate in Economics and Professor at the University of Chicago, paid a courtesy visit to Odisha Chief Secretary Ms.AnuGarg, IAS todayat LoksevaBhawan, Bhubaneswar. During the meeting, they discussed various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Government of Odisha and the State’s progress in the social sector.
The deliberations focused on the application of innovative approaches in the implementation of different schemes and programmes and on further strengthening collaboration with Professor Kremer in the State. Professor Kremer appreciated Odisha’s administrative efficiency and its use of a scientific approach in the development process.
