Bongaigaon: In a heartfelt effort to combat the recent surge in malaria cases in the Kokrajhar district, NTPC Bongaigaon, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in association with Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, distributed 100 mosquito nets to underprivileged families. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, reaffirming NTPC’s commitment to community welfare.
Smt. Sangeeta Singh, President, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, and Smt. Soumya Kar, Vice President, along with the club’s office bearers, led the distribution drive. The mosquito nets were distributed in partnership with the Salakati Anchalik Senior Citizen Mancha, ensuring the support reached those in need.
The coordination of the initiative was facilitated by Shri Roshan Dungdung, DGM (HR), Shri Madhurjya Singha Lahkar, DGM (Corporate Communication), NTPC Bongaigaon, Smt. Pranami Handique, Sr. Manager (HR), and Smt. Aduity Thakuri, Executive (CSR), in collaboration with local stakeholders.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Sangeeta Singh expressed gratitude to all involved in making the initiative a success, stating, “This distribution is a small yet meaningful step to protect vulnerable communities from malaria. We hope it contributes to a safer and healthier environment.”
