Raipur (Kalinga Voice) : Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister of Chhatisgarh, senior Odia IAS officer of 1992 batch, Mr Subrata Sahu has been given the responsibility of Chief Secretary of Chhatisgarh in addition to his present responsibility. As the Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain has been on leave due to health reasons, Mr. Sahu will remain in charge as Chief Secretary of the state, says the notification General Administration Department issued on Monday. The order issued by Dr. Kamalpreet, Secretary, GAD, said that as Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain is on leave due to health reasons, Additional Chief Secretary Subrata Sahu will take over the additional responsibility of Chief Secretary along with his present responsibilities.
Mr. Sahu is now Additional Chief Secretary Home, Jail, Electronics and Information Technology, Commerce and Industry, Housing and Environment and Water Resources Department along with the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. Earlier, he was awarded the title of President Ramnath Kobind by conducting elections with efficiency and transparency as the Chief Electoral Officer of the State of Chhattisgarh.
Mr. Sahu is the son of former Chief Secretary of Odisha Sri Sahadev Sahu
