First woman Officer Charu Sihna to head Srinagar sector
New Delhi (Kalinga Voice ): For the first time, a female IPS officer has been appointed as the head of the Central Reserve Police Force in the terrorist affected Srinagar sector. Home Ministry appointed senior IPS officer Charu Sinha as the Inspector General of the Srinagar Sector. Charu is the first female IPS officer to hold such a sensitive and important position. Prior to the transfer, she was the IG of the Jammu sector.
Charu Sinha has been replaced by P S Ranpise, as Jammu Sector(CRPF) IG . A senior IPS officer of the 1995 batch from Odisha cadres Ranpise recently went to the Central Deputation in the first week of August for a period of 5 years. It is to be informed that the letter of appointment of IPS officer Ranpise as CRPF IG was received by the state government on August 7 . At the time, Mr Ranpise was the Additional Director General (Vigilance) of the state.
