Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik wrote to the Chief Ministers of all the States today regarding vaccination. In his letter, CM Sri Patnaik writes that, in the present COVID pandemic situation no state is safe without the vaccination program given the topmost priority, and execution is done on a war footing basis.
CM of Odisha Wrote to all CMs for a consensus on centralised procurement of vaccines by GOI in view of the challenges faced by states. He too spoke to some CMs who shared his views.
CM writes to the Chief Minister all the States that, “The best option available is for the Government of India to centrally procure the vaccines and distribute it among the States so that our citizens are vaccinated at the earliest”
CM further writes “Perhaps after the independence struggle this is the greatest challenge we have faced together as a nation. I am sure that we will set aside whatever differences we have either political or otherwise and come together in the true spirit of Cooperative Federalism for saving precious lives and hard earned livelihoods.”
