- More than 600,000 students will be benefited
- The state government will bear the cost of Rs 27 crore.
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Pattanaik has directed to waive Matric examination fees of the students, appearing High School Certificate Exam this year to be conducted by Board of Secondary Education, in the greater interest of the students. It will benefit more than 600,000 students.State Government will bear Rs. 27 Crore on this account . It is to be noted that each child has to pay a registration fee of Rs 420 for the matriculation examination.
