Bhubaneswar : Jeevan Bindu, a flagship program of Odisha-Mo Parivar, which has been meeting blood requirement by organising blood donation camp at district level will now be expanded to block and Gram Panchayat level and, in a bid to meet deficit in blood requirement of the state. This was unanimously decided on Thursday in a review meeting. Significantly, under the instruction of The Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, a review meeting of Odisha Mo- Parivar was organised on Thursday amid presence of its Convenor, Co-Conveners and senior functionaries. Considering further requirements of blood in the state, it was unanimously decided that coordinators will be recruited at block and GP level to activate this programme. Significantly, as many as two lakh unit of blood has been collected through Jeevan Bindu initiative.
Similarly, the members present in the meeting also appreciated the contribution of helpdesk support at the leading hospitals of state, being representatives, which has been another major activity of the organization. In a bid to provide this service across the state, it was decided in the meeting that help desk support will be provided in all leading hospitals of the state, all district headquarter hospitals and all medical colleges of the state. Significantly, the help desk representatives have been providing hand holding support to the walk-in patients in all respect.
The members present in the meeting also appreciated Odisha Mo-Parivar’s initiatives to support distress Non Resident Odias and Prosthetic support to disable person and also decided to expand further.
Further, on the occasion of the CM’s birthday on 16th October, MLA and organizational secretary, BJD Sri Pranab Prakash Das intimated that various social activities will be taken up by Odisha-Mo Parivar.

Bharati Singh, Secretaries Shri Durga Samantaray and Subash Patra, Joint secretaries Shri Rudra Narayan Samantaray and Shri Ranjit Ray, State Coordinator Shri Mihir Ray, Legal Advisor Shri Abani Sahoo, Health Advisor Dr. Satyajit Dash were present and Jeevan Bindu district coordinators were connected through Zoom meet, provided their valuable comments in this review meeting.
