Odisha Paribar Facilitates Return of Deceased Kedarnath Pilgrim’s Body to Cuttack for Final Rites

Bhubaneswar, 27/10: Following the unfortunate demise of an Odia pilgrim during a visit to Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, the Directorate of Odisha Paribar extended full assistance in order to return the body of the deceased to his village in Cuttack for final rites. The deceased has been identified as Shri Ranjan Kumar Sahu, a resident of Manisahu Chhak in Cuttack district.

As per reports, Shri Sahu, accompanied by friends, had traveled to Kedarnath. During their return after darshan, he unexpectedly fell ill. Observing his condition, he was rushed to a nearby medical camp, where doctors, unfortunately, declared him dead. Upon receiving the news, the Directorate of Odisha Paribar immediately coordinated with the family, promising every possible support.

With the combined efforts of the Directorate of Odisha Parivar, the Cuttack district administration, and the Uttarakhand government, Shri Sahu’s body was transported back to Odisha by air. His mortal remains arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport late last night.

The body was subsequently returend to his village in Cuttack, where final rites were performed. In these challenging times, Shri Sahu’s family expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Odisha Parivar and the Cuttack district administration for their timely support and assistance.
