Bhubaneswar : A complaint was lodged by a citizen he was defrauded by unknown cyber fraudsters on pretext of higher return and investing in IPO and OTC trading. They persuaded him to trade in IPO and OTC, leading him to transfer Rs. Rs.1,01,44,699/- (One Crore one lakh forty four thousand six hundred ninety nine rupees). Despite initial losses, he was convinced to invest more, but when attempting to withdraw, they demanded an additional money and refused to release his funds. He realized it was a scam and lodged an FIR.. The case is currently under investigation.
The investigating team lead by Inspr Bibhu Ranjan Sundaray after analyzing the transaction details and working upon other digital evidences had crack down at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh have successfully been identified and arrested 01 no of perpetrator of Crime namely Chapalamadugu Sudheer Kumar (33 Yrs), S/o-Nageswara Rao,1-85,Harizanwada,Patha, Repudi,Repudi, Krishna, Andhra Pradesh-521227, A/P- D No- 4-6-112, NewD.no-18-12- 862, Koritepadu, Hanumaiahnagar, Chandramoulinagar, Near Zanda Chettu, PS-Nallapadu ,Guntur, Andhra Pradesh -522006. Different incriminating materials such as Mobile Phones, SIMs, Bank Passbooks, Cheques etc were seized from the possession of the accused person.
So he was arrested and produced at Special Mobile Court, Guntur after receiving transit remand, was brought to Cuttack and will be forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of SDJM, Mayurbhanj U/S 318(4)/319(2)/ 336(2)/ 336(3)/ 338/ 340(2)/ 61(2)/ 3(5) BNS r/w 66-C/ 66-D ITAct 2000.
