Probationary IPS officers visit Raj Bhavan
Bhubanewar, January 5: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das advised the probationary IPS officer to work with commitment and dedication, and enhance the people friendly image of police to the next level.
IGP Training, Odisha S Shyni and Additional SP Training, R. N Satpathy along with probationary IPS officers including A.B. Silpa, Kashyap Parth Jagdish, Mane Ajinkya Baburao, Ramendra Prasad and Sonali Singh Parmar paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Governor at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Governor Raghubar Das said to the probationary officers that to serve people is their duty and urged them to perform duty without any fear.
“The perception of police is often seen as stern, which is the legacy of imperialism that we are still to overcome. You all have to make an effort to change the perception. You should not be harsh to the people, but adopt a soft approach that paves way for possibilities. Police should be people friendly and establish emotional connections with the community,” said the governor and extended best wishes to the probationary IPS officers
