Remembering the Martyrs on 26 January 2022: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is Government of India initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75th year of India’sindependence, glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.The official journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March, 2021 for a period of 75 week and will end post on 15th August, 2023.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only established India’ssocio-cultural, political and economic identity, but also those heroes who have protected its freedom and sovereignty with the supreme sacrifice of their lives. To honour India’s Martyrs Prime Minister has launched a nationwide campaign of Shaheedon ko Shat Shat Naman. NCC is celebrating this event throughout the nation including Odisha in concert with the Republic Day celebrations on 26 January 2022.

During the event, Next of Kins (NoK) of all Martyr of Odisha, from Army, Navy and Air Force will be visited by NCC Officers, Permanent Instructor Staff and Cadets. NoKs will bepresented the ‘Plaque of Gratitude’on 26 Jan 2022 coinciding with the PM paying homage to Shaheed at the National War Memorial.NCC exhorts all to show our gratitude by joining the tweeter #ShaheedonKoNaman from today till 26 January.
