Road Safety Awareness Campaign jointly launched by Tata Steel Kalinganagar and Kalinganagar Police

Kalinganagar, January 15, 2026:As part of 37th National Road Safety Month, reaffirming its commitment to promoting safe and responsible road behaviour, Tata Steel Kalinganagar’s (TSK) Security Department, in collaboration with the Kalinganagar Police, has launched a two-day Road Safety Awareness Campaign at Kalinganagar.

The campaign was formally launched in the presence of Suprasanna Mallick, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kalinganagar and Prakash Kumar Sahoo, Inspector In-Charge, Kalinganagar Police Station at Tata Steel Kalinganagar’s Main Gate No 1 in Duburi on Thursday. Among others present on the occasion were Prakash Sanjay, Chief Security, Tata Steel Kalinganagar and Tata Steel Meramandalli and Ravi Shankar Mishra, Chief, Safety (Operations), TSK.

The campaign based on this year’s theme, “One Road, One Family – Respect for All,” aims to underscore shared responsibility and personal accountability in ensuring safety for all road users and to raise awareness about the importance of various aspects of road safety. During the campaign, drivers were sensitised on the importance of wearing seat belts, while two-wheeler riders and pillion riders were encouraged to wear helmets at all times for their safety. Safety leaflets outlining key precautions were also distributed on the occasion.

As part of the launch event, two nukkad nataks were also organised by Security and Logistics department aiming to educate the audience on the significance of following road safety guidelines.

As part of the month long celebrations, TSK will focus on enhancing awareness and compliance with key road safety practices, including adherence to speed limits, use of seatbelts (front and rear), avoidance of mobile phone usage while driving, maintaining safe distance between vehicles, following lane discipline, ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, and giving way to emergency vehicles.
