It has disrupted normal life in areas of Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Malkangiri, and Gajapati on Monday. Cyclone Gulab is the second cyclonic storm to hit eastern coast four months after ‘Yaas’ wreaked havoc in the state. State officials had already evacuated over 39,000 people from Ganjam and Gajapati districts before the cyclone made landfall and have expediated relief measures in cyclone affected areas.
