Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): The School and Mass Education Department, in its commitment to strengthening school education, has successfully recruited 160 Odisha Education Service officers. A counselling program was conducted on Sunday at the conference hall of Krushi Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, where 158 out of the 160 candidates selected through rigorous selection process by Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) actively participated. The programme was organised by the department to fill the positions lying vacant across the state. On Monday, in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, a special programme will be held at the State Convention Centre to distribute appointment letters to the newly appointed officers.
During the counselling programme, Sri Raghuram Iyer, the Director of Higher Secondary Education addressed all crucial aspects of the counselling process and answered the queries of the participating candidates. The newly appointed officers were provided with the important information about their appointments, including the specific posts they would hold and their respective work locations. The candidates were also provided with a comprehensive understanding of the objectives of Mo Sarkar’. Sri Iyer emphasised the importance of soliciting feedback from the public and taking prompt action upon it, as it would enhance the trust and confidence of the people in the government.
Sri Anupam Saha, State Project Director, Odisha State Education Programme Authority extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the Education Service Officers and offered words of advice on their roles and responsibilities. He expressed his optimistic outlook, hoping that each officer would seize the opportunity provided to them and contribute significantly to the advancement of education.
The young officials were encouraged to actively strive towards fulfilling the state’s aspirations and were called upon to provide guidance and support, fostering collaboration, to drive the department towards progress and development. The officials were further encouraged to actively engage at the grassroots level and embrace innovative approaches for the holistic development of children, thereby contributing to the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of a New Odisha through a strengthened edu-system.
Director of Secondary Education, Sri Sushant Kumar Das, Director of Primary Education, Sri Jyotiranjan Mishra, and Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Sri Durgaprasad Mohapatra, were among the officials present at the orientation programme.
